Nini must confront her past and the changing landscape of her community at the annual block party. As she navigates the challenges and decisions facing her, Nini must decide if she has the courage to stand up for her home and the people she loves.

This short film and children’s book project, inspired by the Indian and Brazilian cultures of kite fighting, is adapted from a feature screenplay written a few years ago. Half of the project was completed in Ahmedabad, India, in January 2026, with the remaining production set for Brazil in the spring.
